What is Coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between a client and a coach that allows clients to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Through the use of powerful questioning and assessment tools, clients develop awareness, set goals, and manage personal change.
The process is client driven. Coaches hold the client responsible and accountable.
What Programs Are Available?
The Developing Doctor offers focused and comprehensive coaching programs. Each program starts with a goal-setting and advising session. The remaining sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual client and can include:
- Premed coursework planning
- Planning extracurricular activities
- Clinical Experience Strategy
- Coaching sessions to identify strengths, values, and communication style
- Essay editing
- Application editing
- Interview preparation and practice
3 Month Program
5 Sessions
- Initial 2-hour onboarding session
- 4 x 30-minute sessions
- Unlimited email contact between sessions
- No editing services outside of sessions
6 Month Program
10 sessions
- Initial 2-hour onboarding session
- 9 x 30-minute sessions
- Unlimited email contact between sessions
- Unlimited personal statement edits
- No application or secondary edits outside of sessions
Comprehensive Package
Year Long Program
- Initial 2-hour onboarding session
- 30-minute coaching sessions (no more than weekly)
- Unlimited email contact
- Unlimited personal statement and primary application edits
- Unlimited secondary application edits
- Covers no more than 12 months in length or 1 med school application cycle
